What is Imperfect Pitch?

If you’ve ever run an organization, been in a healthy relationship, or had a call dropped by T-Mobile, you know one thing: good communication is invaluable.

Imperfect Pitch is a blog and newsletter that’s all about communication. In particular, it's about PR - the art of getting people to talk about you, ideally in a good way. It was originally going to be called “Perfect Pitch”, but that would’ve been too much pressure. Thus, “Imperfect Pitch” was born.

Strategies, insights, and (hopefully) entertaining stories are coming your way - look out!

Who’s it for?

I’m glad you asked. This is for anyone who communicates for a living. Whether you’re a founder, entrepreneur, operator, comms professional, politician, preacher, auctioneer, JV rugby coach, or are aspiring to be any of those things, this is for you.

Who writes it?

Oh, hello there. I’m David Westreich. I’ve been communicating for most of my life. For the last 12 years, I’ve been getting paid for it. After cutting my teeth at PR agencies in Denver, SF, and New York, I went in-house leading comms at a fast-growing tech company. Then I started Go West PR, a boutique firm based in Berkeley that serves awesome clients across an eclectic mix of industries. My hobbies include writing (hence this blog), drawing cartoons (which may occasionally appear in this blog), and hanging out with my cats, Chip and Luna (who will definitely appear in this blog).
